Extracting ZIP files on a Mac is pretty easy and can be done quickly, by just double clicking the file you want to open. But this action extracts the entire content of the ZIP file, even if you need just one of the files inside it.
Zipeg is an application for Mac that lets you not only extract the content of a ZIP file, but also see it before you take it out. It's compatible with several different formats, including ZIP, RAR, TAR, 7z, LHA, ARJ, ISO, and TGZ.
You can also preview the files inside the ZIP using the Preview app for most documents, and iTunes for audio files.
But there's even more. The application can read EXIF headers in images, and show miniature views of your pictures. You can also use it to explore ISO images, and to access directories by entering the corresponding file path.
